DescriptionSome of the projects managed by Cantiere Giovani are addressed to children. Their psychic and physical wellness and their growth in the best conditions are the aims of the projects the organization is involved in. The workcamp is addressed to the children living in the area of Mondragone (a city near Caserta) and it is organized in collaboration with the Association “Centro Laila”. The Association develops and manages residential centres for children with socio-economical difficulties.
LocationThe workcamp takes place near the city of Mondragone, a beach resort on the seacoast. It is well-linked to Naples and Caserta.
WorkThe work consists in taking the kids to the seaside and arranging animation activities with them.
Volunteers work 5/6 hours per day.
Free time is organized in order to know and visit the most important sites of Mondragone, Naples and Caserta.
AccommodationThe participants will be hosted in the residence of “Centro Laila” Onlus.

DescriptionCantiere Giovani promotes the concept of socio-cultural wellness among native and migrant population in the northern suburban area of Naples and it considers the mutual exchange of knowledge as the first step for a peaceful cohabitation.
This is the third workcamp held in “Centro Astalli Sud”, a residential centre for refugees placed in the northern suburban area of Naples, provide with canteen and doctor’s office. The Association “Centro Astalli Sud” organizes different activities, such as Italian language courses for foreigners, information desks for migrant communities, and leisure and making aware activities for and with local young people, aiming at promoting the inclusion and the integration of migrant communities.
The workcamp supports the usual activities of the organization. It also uses art and creative way of expressions as one of the best tools for the social inclusion.
LocationThe workcamp takes place in Grumo Nevano, a city near Naples. The city is well-linked to Naples and Caserta.
Work The work consists in the organization of a multicultural and making aware event

DescriptionIn order to promote and to sensitize about the importance of the environment and the respect for it, Cantiere Giovani organizes for the first time a workcamp on the island of Procida in collaboration with the Association “Vivara” Onlus. The Association is a non-profit organisation created to take care of the little island of Vivara, just near Procida and with special environmental riches. They organize workshops on environmental issues, awareness raising initiatives and study and research activities.
The workcamp assumes a really important mean for the local population. In fact, thanks to the camp, the only one public library existing in Procida will be created.
LocationThe workcamp takes place on the island of Procida, in the gulf of Naples. The island is one of the most important tourist place in Italy and it is well-linked to Naples.
Work The work consists in cataloguing and ordering the library and renovating the rooms.
Volunteers work 5/6 hours per day.
Free time is organized in order to know and visit the most important sites of the island and of Naples.
